The VLAN tagging standard used to logically separate network traffic. The device can support up to 4096 virtual networks over the same physical connection.
A virtual interface used for testing and routing purposes. It is used for IP configurations and service checks without the need for a physical connection.
- LACP (Link Aggregation Control Protocol): Combines multiple physical connections to function as a single logical connection, increasing bandwidth and providing redundancy.
- Failover: Automatically switches to a backup connection when the primary connection fails, ensuring uninterrupted communication.
- Load Balance: Distributes traffic evenly across multiple connections to enhance performance.
- Round Robin: Sends data packets sequentially across each connection, aiming to utilize all connections equally.
- Bridging: Connects two or more network interfaces to operate as a single network.
- STP (Spanning Tree Protocol): Prevents network loops by automatically disabling backup connections, re-enabling them when necessary.
- Ethernet Bypass: Ensures that network traffic continues even if the security device is powered off by directly connecting input and output ports.
VXLAN extends Layer 2 (L2) networks over a Layer 3 (L3) infrastructure, allowing virtual machines in different data centers to communicate as if they were on the same network.
- NAT64: Allows IPv6 clients to communicate with servers that only speak IPv4 by converting IPv6 packets to IPv4, enabling communication between the two protocols.
- IPv6 6to4 Tunneling: A temporary solution that carries IPv6 traffic over an IPv4 infrastructure by encapsulating IPv6 packets into IPv4, enabling use in networks that do not support IPv6.
Used for point-to-point connections like DSL lines. It enables the establishment of authenticated connections.
Provides mobile internet connection via cellular modems. It can be used as a backup WAN connection.
