OSI Layer 2 Transparent (Bridge)

The device acts like a bridge on the network; it transmits data based on MAC addresses.
It operates transparently without requiring an IP address, integrates into the network without altering the existing topology.

OSI Layer 3 Router + Stealth Mode

The device functions as a router while also operating in stealth mode;
it actively participates in the network but remains undetectable from the outside.
It performs IP routing without exposing its IP address to the external world.

Virtual Cable

Creates a virtual Layer 2 connection between two endpoint devices that behaves like a physical cable.
This enables LAN extension between remote locations.
