The IP address of the communication server (Proxy), which validates and directs the requests sent by the client, is processed in this section. It basically determines which XFF (X-Fowarded-For) header to trust in traffic.
Note:
XFF (X-Forwarded-For) header is a standard header made by a client connecting to a web server through an HTTP proxy to identify the source IP address. When traffic is interrupted between clients and servers, the server access logs contain only the proxy’S IP address. The X-Forwarded-For request header is used to see the original IP address of the client.
